Maybe it’s only those of us in Michigan who know exactly what we mean when we say “Up North!” It’s not a particular place, it’s our own particular place at the time! It’s a state of mind as well as place, isn’t it?
I should order one of these Up North t-shirts for myself! It’s great weather to head up I-75 this weekend!
What a bunch of nice summer days and evenings we’ve had lately. At least, in Michigan, that’s the case.
I wish I was up north, sitting on a dock, just feeling the breeze and listening to the waves. What about you?
Where besides Michigan do people say “I’m going Up North” and everyone knows exactly what they mean? Even if they don’t know exactly where they mean!
It’s a great time to stock up on Up North stuff! You’re thinking about opening up the cottage or making your campground reservation or checking out a new hunting spot. A new t-shirt or travel mug would be nice, wouldn’t it?
Here’s some shirts to consider:
Award-winning new binder design! Well, someone at the Zazzle team liked this binder, but more importantly, YOU might like it. If you love lakes, quiet water, Up North, serenity, canoes or the color red!
This was a high-key photo shot a little before sunset of my brother’s canoe. The still water and low light combined to create mirror perfect reflections that evening. The canoe was perfectly situated to the angle of the light for this shot. A little bit of Photoshop magic dust and voila´!
Available in three sizes along with coordinating serene stuff!
Up north! Finally got confirmation yesterday from my Mom that the snow is finally gone from our Up North. She lives a bit north of the 45th parallel in a 4B or so gardening zone, so it stays chilly there and the snow lingers almost forever. In Southeastern Michigan, green has swept across the landscape. At last, my friends in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and North Carolina do not have the the corner on fine weather. It’s just beautiful here and the lilacs and flowering trees are putting on a wonderful show.
Look for lilac inspired designs soon.
BTW, this bumper sticker is over on my
Beachwalker site. Does Up North fit better with beaches or woods?
