collage

We literally jumped for joy when we – my cousin and some friends – saw the Eiffel Tower for the very first time. It was our first trip to Europe and we had done everything we could in our 16 days. We began in Germany, visiting the family of my cousin’s family’s foreign exchange student. Then we moved on to Lichtenstein, Austria, northern Italy, stopped in Switzerland and finally arrived in Paris. Back then, the language and the currency was different nearly every day!

It was just before the 200th Anniversary of Bastille Day we arrived. For three glorious days, we walked on air.

Paris. There is nothing like it. I long to return.

Personalize a Mother’s Day mug for your mom, grandma, aunt, sister, m-i-l or yourself!

Or just buy one because you like it.

The frosted mug has room for adding your own words to the reverse side, but you could just as easily change the style to a traveling mug or a coffee cup.

Actually, the tulip that inspired this collage was from my mom’s garden. It was the only tulip that had come up in that garden one spring and it was simply beautiful.

Maybe it was all the more beautiful because it was alone and there weren’t others to distract from admiring its color (originally a mix of light pinks) and shape.
